2、Tony是全新版大学英语综合教程(上海外语教育出版社)第一册第四单元课文American DreOO(Frederickc.Crawford，美国作家)中的主角，他是一个从意大利到美国的OO，他通过自己的努力从一名割草工做起，到工厂清洁工、学徒工，再到商人，最后成为农场主。Tony到美国来寻求他的梦想，但是他没有依靠别人，而是自己通过努力实现了自己的梦想。他从不浪费宝贵的时间，不断的寻求进步，不断的努力。正是勤奋与为人真诚使他成功地实现了美国梦。

Actually, it has played a big role in the America's prosperity over the years.
